Loving yourself will help you to NOT hold others accountable for your feelings, regardless of what they do or say, but will help you make better decisions on how to deal with the situation and them. You cannot control some of the hurtful things people may say or do but you can love yourself enough to not accept anything thats negative, forgive them and learn from the situation in order to make a better decision next time. Remember the goal is to be stress free and happy, not to make others be who you want them to.
Committing to face problems instead of letting them defeat you(stress) will not only build confidence and courage but will also give you a sense of strength. Believe it or not, being defeated by a problem is much easier than facing it. To be defeated, takes no energy or effort. But to face a problem, takes courage and strong will, but the payoff(happiness) is much larger. While facing your problems, it is important to remain focused on the ultimate goal, which is to be stress free and happy.
