musician or lover of music sought, (artists also welcome) m4w I'm 28 years old, just arrived here from NYC. I left in a hurry because my brother (who I was sharing a house with) had created a very unhealthy (and dangerous, not to mention legally treacherous) situation that I was no longer able to stomach. So, I devised a plan to make my way across the country over the next year. My first stop is here in DE, where I'll be staying with my mom through mid-January and working seasonal jobs (Most likely at night). I plan to save up enough for a vehicle by then to make my way to California with. First though, I'm going to spend February at my grandmothers place up in the mountains of Vermont (near Brattleboro) where I plan to fulfill my long time dream of building a large Igloo by hand. Then in March the campgrounds along the Appalachian trail will open and I plan to walk it down to Tennessee, where I'll use the money I saved here to buy a car. Then I'll find a job in Nashville (as I've heard this is a great place for musicians). After a few months my friend Leo from NY will fly down to Nashville so we can take a road trip out to California, where I know some people who can help me get settled. I'm not sure whether I'll stay there permanently or move back to NY in the Fall.
So anyway, For the next 3 months I am here in DE. I'll be working a lot (hopefully... I'm searching) but it would be really cool to find a fun girl with similar interests to hang out with, especially if we could play music together (I've already been to an open mic in the area, it would be nice to have company there next time). My other interests include painting, writing and hiking, etc. I'm putting this in strictly platonic because what I'm looking for is a friend, but I'm not adverse to the possibility of a romantic entanglement, however, this would have to come with the understanding that I cannot stay here in the long run. Double-however, if you'r the adventurous type (the type I'd love to meet incidentally), and we hit it off, I would certainly not mind company on my adventures.
BTW, I would really like to see that movie "seven psychopaths" in theaters (rare that I'd actually be enticed to go to a theater), so maybe we could get to know each other over dinner and a movie. Christopher Walken fans to be considered first ; )
