I am very independent, I have a great job, college degree, my own vehicle, and a place to live ( I do live alone). I have no problem finding out about someone before seeing their picture...that can come a little later. I generally go towards women who are a bit on the short side but I am not set in stone on that as well as age is not an issue just as long as you aren't old enough to be my mother. I love the outdoors, sports, movies, just hanging out with my friends, or just relaxing at home. One thing I will require is that you are not a drug user. I don't mind if you smoke (cig's only) as long as you aren't a chain smoker and I do like to have a few drinks every now and then.
