I don't think any of the girls I'm friends with are what I'm looking for in terms of finding something more so I decided to post on this site. I hope to someday have someone to "mine" but I know that is probably a long way away and don't want to rush things. Still, not much progress in getting there unless I expand my horizons a bit. Here's to hoping.
I really enjoy the company of people who are intelligent. I don't consider intelligence to be so much as what you know; but what you're capable of knowing. In conversation I tend to bounce a lot of ideas off the person I'm talking with. Sometimes they come back with funny, useful, or funny and useful advice and it's great! Other times, it feels like my words are hitting a brick wall. I'm naturally looking for the former.. I'm a very analogical and "deep"person. I sometimes joke about the latter, but I do think outside the box quite a bit and am very open-minded. I'm somewhat mature for my age, I have realized and been told. To be honest, some of the people my age I run into make me feel like I'm a fossil, but I still have fun. I feel there isn't a reason why two people who are together, or even just friends for that matter, can't be upfront with each other. I don't "B.S." when it comes to serious topics and can be very blunt. I'm very communicative of how I feel and like anyone I'm around to be the same. I also enjoy the person I'm with to support me and my goals and even push me to do better.
I'm really into outdoors activities such as hiking or camping. I'm not a big sports fan, but would go to a sports game or play some sports if the mood was right. I like shopping (weird, right?) and generally exploring different towns and their shops. I love fairs and festivals, and they keep me outside during the summer months. I'll sometimes go to the movies if something good is coming out, though it's a rare site for a good movie to be released anymore (The film producers finally realized that people will pay millions to see a 10k budget horror movie (Paranormal Activity) that was inspired by a guy moving into an old creaky house). I do occasionally like to go out to eat, sometimes to a nice joint and sometimes to a mom and pop place nearby. I really like oriental food and sushi. I play some video games, though not much lately since I've been keeping pretty busy. I'm usually out and about in my spare time, and it would be awesome if I had someone special to meet up with. I'm a very affectionate person to the person I'm with. And no, it's not a your mind in the gutter kind of way. I love to hold my "other" after work or when they're sick. As long as you don't give it to me! I hate being sick, haha.
I love art, and like to dabble in creating different forms of art (though I'm not the best at all of them). I really like writing the most. I write short stories, typiy of a Sci-Fi appeal, and an occasional poem. I enjoy painting as well. It's fun to get together with friends and paint whatever we feel like. I'm horrid at drawing. I don't play an instrument, but strangely, I'd actually like to learn how to sing. Speaking of music, my favorite types are generally rock or electronica. I am also partial to old songs from the 60s. More modern bands I enjoy are Modest Mouse, The Mars Volta, System of a Down, and Infected Mushroom.
I have a lot of ambitions, and have been thankful for my friends for supporting me in my goals. I am currently in college, and am majoring in engineering. I have some short term goals along the way, which I'm currently pursuing and I can tell you more about them when we talk. I work, but can't really brag too much about it at this point in time.
Physiy, I would myself good-looking. I'm not an uber-hunk or anything like that in my mind, but I'm healthy and fit. I'm 6'1'' tall, so I don't tend to tower over people but I'm not short. I am white with blond hair/blue eyes. I keep myself groomed and my face shaven. I do have a few pictures.
I've read through quite of few of the posts from women using this site and want to clear something up. I'm not a country boy. I'm not interested in people who are fed up with men because they are poor judges of character and didn't know when to stop. I'm not a "nerd" or "geek". I'm not your summer fling. Most importantly, I am not going to say I am "the one". I don't find it possible to generalize myself, and hope to find someone who feels the same. I'm looking for someone under 30 and who feels they can be compatible with what I've put in this post.
